摘要:In this talk, I firstly introduce briefly the main theoretical and numerical results on the time-domain scattering problems, especially focusing on the time-domain perfectly matched layer (PML) method. Then I will report a recent work on a time-dependent fluid-solid interaction scattering problem by an unbounded rough surface. The well-posedness and stability for the problem are firstly established by using the Laplace transform and energy method. A perfectly matched layer (PML) is then introduced to truncate the interaction problem above a finite layer containing the elastic body, leading to a PML problem in a finite strip domain. We further establish the existence, uniqueness and stability estimate of solutions to the PML problem. Finally, we prove the exponential convergence about the thickness of the PML layer via establishing an error estimate between the DtN operator for the original problem and the DtN operator for the PML problem.
