摘要：The Riemannian positive mass theorem (PMT) is a fundamental result on manifolds with nonnegative scalar curvature. In 3-dimension, it was first proved by Schoen-Yau and by Witten. In this talk, we review some recently established mass-capacity inequalities and then discuss their implications. Applications include finding new sufficient conditions that imply the PMT on manifolds with or without a singularity.

简介：苗蓬子，迈阿密大学教授，1998年本科毕业于北京大学，2003年博士毕业于斯坦福大学，研究方向主要涉及几何分析，至今在国际刊物发表论文60余篇。
